What is FounderFold?

FounderFold is the agentic OS for building new businesses: its agents research and score ideas with cited evidence, take each project through stage gates with kill criteria, and write the reports leadership reads. People decide.

Who is FounderFold for?

For anyone who searches for, validates, launches and grows businesses: founders, venture studios, accelerators, corporate innovation teams, consultancies and funds. None comes first. A corporate team builds new business lines through gates its leadership agreed in advance, with decisions mapped to roles; a venture studio or an accelerator sources and discards ideas at volume and reports to partners; a founder keeps a portfolio of ideas honest with written kill criteria.

Is FounderFold innovation management software?

Not in the usual sense. Innovation management suites collect and rank employee ideas; FounderFold’s agents research ideas with cited evidence, and each project runs through stage gates and kill criteria up to the board report. Ideas from an employee campaign can be added to a portfolio by a person and go through the same scoring and gates.

Is FounderFold a venture studio or software?

Software. FounderFold does the repeatable work of building new businesses for your team; it does not take equity in your businesses or replace the people who run them.

Who makes the decisions — the AI or my team?

Your team. Agents can only propose. Accepting or discarding an idea, passing a gate, deciding what happens when a kill criterion is triggered, or closing a project is always a person’s decision, recorded with the date and the reason.

Does it work for projects that are not software?

Yes. Projects in FounderFold don’t need code: for a new insurance line, a service or a physical product, agents propose the stages, gates and tasks that fit that type of business. A code repository is an optional extension for software projects.

Do I need my own AI tools or accounts?

No. The agents are part of FounderFold and run within your organization’s limits. There is nothing to connect, and you never manage models or prompts.

Can other organizations see my portfolio?

No. Each organization sees only its own portfolios. Access rules are enforced in the database for every member, not only in the interface.

How does FounderFold avoid made-up facts?

Every claim in an evaluation must link to its source with the date it was consulted. What cannot be verified is labeled NOT VERIFIED, and an agent’s result is never applied to a record without a person reviewing it.

What are kill criteria?

Kill criteria are conditions, written before a stage starts and with a deadline, under which a project should stop. When one is triggered, a person decides: close the project, pause it with a retrospective, or record why it does not apply. FounderFold shows each one as OK, under watch or triggered.

Are the stages and gates fixed?

No. Agents propose a lifecycle for each project from its type of project, type of business and type of organization: stages, milestones, gates and kill criteria. Each portfolio and each project can change them: add or remove stages, and adjust thresholds, deadlines and names. Agents propose; your team accepts or configures.

How is the weighted pipeline value calculated?

Possible year-three revenue multiplied by the probability of reaching first revenue from the current stage, with a low–high range. Probabilities come from your own history once a stage has five cases; before that, from declared assumptions.

Are the board reports written by AI?

No. Report text and figures come from rules applied to your data, so the same data always produces the same PDF. Generating a report uses no credits.

How much does FounderFold cost?

Pricing is not published yet. Plans are for organizations — venture studios, accelerators, consultancies and corporate innovation teams — and access is by invitation. For individual founders, the Founder membership has a waitlist; it has no published price yet. Every organization plan includes prepaid credits for agent work, with extra credit packs paid in advance. You are never billed afterwards for usage.

What happens when credits run out?

Credits are reserved before a task starts and the agent stops at the reserved amount. When the balance is empty, no new agent task starts until you add credits; records, reports and people’s tasks keep working.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Owners invite members as owner, editor or reader. Owners manage the team, editors change portfolios, readers consult and download reports.

Can I get my data out?

Yes. Each portfolio has a periodic export to readable Markdown files, in the same format FounderFold uses internally.

How do I get access?

FounderFold is in early access by invitation. Request access with a few lines about what you want to incubate; if it is a fit, we create your organization and its owner completes a short onboarding.
